Left foot, right foot!

Claire is getting quite mobile! She can scoot all over the floor, but I wouldn't call it crawling yet... she is getting close, but it is more of a lunge followed by a topple. She loves to stand up with support and bounce around. She wants to get up and join Marie!
Marie is able to put on her shoes now, but she hasn't learned which shoe goes on which foot yet... if you tell her to switch her shoes around though, she will! She is so smart! :)
Claire loves to play with her toys. You have to strap her in this bouncy seat now or she just jumps out after five seconds. This time she was having so much fun that she fell asleep hanging on to a toy!

Painting and playing and plants, oh my!

Marie loves to finger paint! We had a great time and I just had her paint on a 12 x 12" piece of paper so it can be the background for her scrapbook page!
Marie got over her fear of the lizards and Claire liked to chew on them!
Marie is such a great big sister! You two are going to be best buds. :)
Here is our huge asparagus looking plant. The top tower grew within one month! The buds opened up this week with yellow flowers.
We gave Claire her first feeding of rice mixed with milk... she wasn't too fond of it, but she wasn't completely opposed to it.

Bad Hair Day

I went to get Marie out of bed in the morning... I think she might have needed some more beauty sleep!
Marie loves shoes... she doesn't care what size they are.
Claire and Marie are hanging out on the blanket that Amy made for them.

Trip to Death Valley

Claire was lounging in the stroller as we pushed her across the salt!
Badwater is the lowest point in the western hemisphere!
We also stopped to look at this massive crater... it is hard to get an appreciation for how big it was from the pictures...
If you stare at this picture long enough, you might see the rock move! The moving rocks were pretty cool to see and Marie loved climbing around on the big island of rocks in the middle of the cobblestone like sand.
Claire and Marie loved the sand dunes. Marie ran up to the first small pile of sand and sat down to play... we took her to the big hills of fine sand and she loved tossing it into the air. She was always scared to go down the hills, so she would sit down and make a long bum trail in the sand.
