More projects!

I got this idea from a magazine called Family Fun. It is full of great ideas! I thought it turned out really cute, so I might do one of Claire too. Then I will print off 8x10" pictures of them and hang them in their room! I used the photoshop elements program to edit the pictures.
The clock that was in their room didn't really match... so I redid the clock to look like this! Now it matches the room perfectly! First, I spray painted the hands of the clock to turn them from blue to brown. Then I painted the light green background and pink trim. Next, I used my cricut to cut out the clock numbers and the two squares. I was amazed at how easy and fast it came together!

Big Fish Tale

Pa has been working on his 200+ gallon fish tank... he has been making some good progress!
Marie thought maybe it was snowing with all the white stuff on the ground.
Pa filled it up with water and Marie had to get into the 'pool'... there was no time to go put on a swimsuit.
The next day after the water had warmed up, Pa thought that he would test it out as well. We got this acrylic tank for free off craigslist because there was a large crack in the back wall. Teddy cut off a 1/3 of the tank and fixed it up! Those are the two biggest fish I have ever seen!
Great job Pa!

Projects

Maybe this one isn't a project, but more of a new purchase... I got this new white blanket when I went to IKEA with Christine in Sacramento. I love it! I can change my sheet color and change the whole style of my room. It is a perfect summer bed cover since comforters are way too warm!
My mom gave me this idea from a magazine and it turned out great! They are so cute and even taste delicious. They went perfect with a cheese fondue recipe that I was trying out as well. I just made bread dough and then wrapped them around the asparagus and then coated them with garlic mixed into butter.
My other project that I did one day, and it did take the WHOLE day... was add this black fabric to the bottom of my dress! One of my best friends, Shawna, pointed out this $6 dress from Target to me, but we had to make some modifications to it... it turned out great!

Girlies, visitors, and a cake!

Claire loves to play with these magnets on the fridge, but the magnet parts started to fall out... I didn't want her to eat them, so I threw them all away. :(
We found a visitor in our garden! YIKES!
Claire will push this bike around and walk behind it! She is learning new things like crazy!
I made my first fondant cake for our 3 year anniversary... it didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but it was definitely a learning experience. I will do things quite a bit differently the next time. There will be a next time because I just got a big box of it from Walmart for only $6! That is way better than having to make it yourself. I hear it doesn't taste as good as this marshmallow kind, but we didn't end up eating the fondant anyways.
Claire and Marie wear the same size of diapers now! It makes diaper shopping easy... Marie you better eat more food, Claire is gaining on you!

More Whitney Pics

As it turns out, the guy that took most of our pictures accidentally reformatted his disk and lost them... :(
This was the valley that we zigzagged up.
I was looking into the sun, trying to keep my eyes open... but here is the top of the mountain!
One of the lakes that we hiked by on our way up.
I still don't know how I made it to the top of this mountain...
