Catholic Church

This was my favorite church that we went to. It was amazing!
This little golden thing would hold a drop of dried blood from someone important.
I found it interesting that the king would sit in the windowed area up high. The preacher would sit in this pulpit thing that had to be lower than the king. The artwork of Jesus on the back wall was about the same height as the king.
The ceiling had gorgeous artwork painted on it as well. I took an elevator to the top to see it up close.

Sound of Music

I am a huge fan of the Sound of Music. I was so excited to be able to see some of the sites were they filmed the movie. It was absolutely gorgeous and I would love to go back with Teddy. I went on a day trip while Teddy was at work.
This fountain is in the movie where the kids went to town and were singing around it.
I got to the see the theater where the family ran away from being arrested... but only from the doorway. I missed the walk through, but it was still cool.
Here is the cemetery where they hid behind the giant headstone.
The gate where the kids went to look for Maria...
This was just a stop on the way back at a rest stop, but I thought that it was so pretty.

Austria!

We went to a really neat Crypt. I can't believe the detail that went into these. We also saw St. Stephen's Cathedral. It was gorgeous!
We saw Mozart's house... a couple of them actually!
I really like this picture of us in Vienna. This was the Belvadere where there weren't many people and we could walk all over the garden.
This is a picture looking out our balcony in the hotel.
This picture is from inside one of the castles/museums. Teddy went to work during the day, so I roamed around the city being a tourist.
Instead of posting all the pictures of other pictures, I will just say that I saw every famous painter's artwork that I have ever heard of... which isn't very many, but it was neat to see some originals.
I went to some cool museums with all sorts of stuff. This was the prince of Rome's cradle. The picture below is the table setting at the king's table. It was actually twice as long as this picture.
The museums and the history was amazing!

Rice Prep

This rice field is getting ready!
We love being on the farm!

Marie saves Troy

I love this series of pictures with Marie and Troy. Troy was having a hard time coming down the hill. Marie ran up to save him! What a nice big sister.

Farm Fun

These Muscarie flowers are well loved by our kids.
