TN TDY

Teddy and I were able to leave the kids at Grandma and Grandpa's for a full day! I didn't know what to do with myself when I woke up in the morning. I still woke up three times in the middle of the night, but there wasn't anyone crying in the hotel. It was my first night away from Thad. We saw some local sights!
We were impressed by the size of these thorns! I wanted to test out the really slow exposure on my camera with this mini waterfall. It makes it look a lot bigger than it really is, but I love how the water looks misty.
We had a much needed break and had a great time!

Zip Line

Since it was a warm day and the kids were feeling adventurous, we let them test out the zip line. Needless to say, it was a BIG hit. They couldn't stop smiling and even got brave enough to intentionally fall into the water.
Theodore didn't get to swing all the way across, but he got to swing out about half way and back. He is getting close to keeping up with his sisters!

Happy Easter!

Teddy was going to have to leave us for a week to go TDY to TN and he was going to leave on Easter... so we thought that we would just go with him and stop at Grandma and Grandpa's on the way!
We had a fantastic Easter egg hunt! The girls were really excited about finding the eggs. Theodore wanted to eat each egg before he went to find another one. Thaddeus wasn't too interested at first. He learned that there was candy inside and then was content to sit down with just a few pieces.
I think everyone got more than enough candy and we all had a fun time!

Getting ready for Easter! (I know Easter isn't in June...)

We made some chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. We made some with nuts, some with chocolate chips, and some with peanut butter & chocolate chips. Marie was a big fan!
The girls were very excited to decorate eggs this year. They are big enough this year to do a little bit more decorating instead of watching. They did a great job!
The eggs sure turned out great!

Guineas and bamboo

Another trip to Grandma and Grandpa's. Thaddeus loved to chase the guineas.
Of course, Teddy jumped at the chance of having another bamboo fire. Thaddeus was also very entertained.

Planting Dandelions

Claire quickly picked the dandelions as fast as they were growing. She wanted more to come, so she planted some of the ones that she picked. Our yard did not let her down. It was soon filled with more dandelions than she could pick in a day.

Eye Injury

What do you do when you have a little cut right below your eye? Well... you could try to put a band-aid on it, but that is pretty dangerous.
Marie lost some eyelashes and eyebrows, but there was no added injury to her eye. Maybe band-aids don't fix everything. She is a tough girl!

More Trampoline Fun

Marie learned how to be a bat! She also figured out how to hold on upside down without hanging on with her hands. Claire was quick to follow the bat technique.
Thaddeus loves crawling around to see what he can find. He found Marie's 'french horn' that she likes to blow into. We sure have a bunch of outdoor lovers.

Theodore the Jumper

Thad really enjoys his mac-n-cheese.
Pa got a raccoon that he wanted to skin, so he could make a hat. Lots of projects on his list!

Theodore has found more entertainment in jumping off the trampoline than jumping on it. He really tries to get as much height as possible and then has to bounce up onto his head because he has too much momentum.
This boy is out of control!
