Swimming pool!

While we were staying in IA, we went to a really neat swimming pool. As you can tell by the pictures, it was a really big hit! Thaddeus slept in the stroller next to the pool, but Theodore, Claire, and Marie loved the slides and fountains.

Trip to Iowa! part 1

 Marie got to celebrate her birthday again when we went to Iowa. Marie got a soccer net, a scrapbook, and more trinkets for her birthday. The kids loved playing with their cousins. We had a fun time visiting with everyone.

 Thad got cuddles from his guinea pig grandma for the first time!

 They keep asking when they can go back and play with their cousins again. They tell everyone they meet that their cousins are Zach and Max.

 Claire was able to chase after Hailey and play catch with Aunt Ashley.

All of their vehicles were a big hit.

Start of the two month Pa famine...

Pa had to go to SOS in Alabama for two months. We had to make sure to keep ourselves busy while he was gone. When he set off for AL, we set off for IA. We stopped at several rest stops along the way to get their worms out and change diapers. It is about an 11 hour drive without stops. I was a little nervous about driving with four children by myself, but they did great!

 I am very thankful for the rest stops that have playground equipment. Thaddeus couldn't quite run after them, but he liked to stretch his legs as well.

Thaddeus is clean!

Thaddeus loves his baths. We fill up the tub with just a couple inches now that he is bigger and he will kick in there for as long as we let him. He doesn't mind if the water gets cold, he doesn't want out.

Happy Birthday Marie!

Happy 5th birthday Marie! I can't believe that you are already five! Where has all the time gone?

Marie received a pinkalicious coloring book, the Pinkalicious book, pink water bottles, some other little trinkets, and a pink hoppity ball!

We wanted everyone to be able to play, so we got three different sizes. 

Marie had a pinkalicious birthday! Pinkalicious is a cute story about this girl who eats too many pink foods and turns pink. Then she eats more pink foods and turns red, but she didn't want to be red. She then has to eat green food to turn back to a normal color. We loaded up on all the pink treats we could find and topped it off with green gum to make sure they were back to normal.

We had a fun pinkalicious party!

Busy Girlies

 The girlies have been making the trampoline into a tent.

Marie wanted to do the dishes. She did a fantastic job and is a big helper. I think if she continues to be such a big helper, we might have to stock up on soap. Our giant bottle of soap wasn't quite half full, but now it is nearly empty. We appreciate the clean dishes though.

Marie and Thad are tired

 Marie and Thaddeus needed a little nap. Cute cuddle bugs.

Our little roller. On August 1st he rolled over both ways, at 2.5 months!
