Water Water Water!

 Theodore loves the tub! He splashes around and never wants to get out. I was hoping his love for the tub would transfer over to the new Fairborn splash park.

 It sure did! That little boy wanted to crawl into the biggest sprinklers there. I let him play with the smaller sprinkler (which was still too big for him), but he really wanted to run around after his big sisters.

 The water was freezing and the girls had to ease into it. They were running around like champs after a couple minutes. The splash park is completely free and we are frequent visitors. There are different splash parks nearyby that we might have to check out. It is just so convient to have this park on the way home from the library!

 Marie likes to put her feet over the sprinklers so they tickle the bottom of her feet.

 Theodore kept trying to put his face into the water. I would plop him down next to it, but he felt that was not quite good enough.

 The other nice thing about the splash park is that there is a park right next to the splash park! The girls can go play while they dry off! Theodore loves the swing! He was laughing and having a great time!

Our kids are slow teeth getters (maybe they will keep them longer?), but Theodore has been chewing on stuff quite a bit lately...  maybe he will get a tooth before he turns 11 months old!

Last Stop-Gettysburg!

On our way home from the Turner's house we stopped at Gettysburg for a tour of the area. We bought a CD to listen to as we drove around the battlefield that described the places and what had happened.

It gave me a better appreciation for what took place during the civil war. There were so many gorgeous memorials!

It was great being able to drive in the car and listen to the CD because then we could just pause the CD when the girls needed a break and wanted to run around.

There was a neat tower that Teddy climbed with the girls to get a better view of the battlefield in that area. It was very humbling to listen about the amount of people that died at each location to keep our country united.

We also visited to the Soldiers' National Cemetary where President

Lincoln gave the famous Gettysburg address.



We spent a few hours at Gettyburg and it was a nice break in our long drive home. We had a great vacation!

Down Time on the Trip

 After running around the city for awhile, we would come back to the Turner's house and party with them. We had a great time and ended our board game drought. The Maries like to play together and Claire was ecstatic about all the new toys. Theodore got some extra attention too.

 I got the girls some sunglasses which they absolutely loved! They have kept them for a month so far! I was hesitant about getting them because I figured they would be ruined in the first 5 minutes, but they have been treating them nicely.

 These girls are great buds! Look at those stylin' girlies.

Theodore had a great time playing with Pa. I didn't think Theodore was ready for sunglasses yet, but he was trying to steal Pa's. He did great waiting in some lines and riding in the stroller for so long. He did great on the drive too!

More of our trip!

 We got to see Benjamin Franklin's grave.

 Another neat site was the liberty bell!

 We got to see constitutional hall. The tickets were all sold out to go inside, but we probably wouldn't have wanted to wait in the lines anyways. I was excited about this awesome picture that I took though. There were tons of people walking in front of the building and cars driving by, but with my new photoshop abilities... it looks like we were the only people there! I have to say that I was a little impressed with how it turned out.

 We got to see the tomb of the unknown soldier for the revolutionary war. I am very thankful to live in America. What a great country we have!

 Another stop that you can't miss in Philadelphia, is the rocky statue! Of course we took pictures of the statue and then finished it off with a sprint to the top of the stairs! Marie and I ran to the top and celebrated with jumping and raising our fists in the air!

Claire loved every fountain she saw. Marie was not in this picture because she was probably in time out. We had a great time, but it was a lot of traveling for the girls. It was so nice to stay at the Turner's house. The girls were able to get some rest and play with some friends.

Pennsylvania Trip!

 We had a long weekend, so we decided to see some places and some friends! We broke up the 7.5 hour drive, by stopping at the famous Fallingwater house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Kids under the age of six are not allowed on the tour, so Teddy stayed with the kids while I was able to check it out. Pictures are also not allowed on the tour, but I was able to take some from the outside. The house was gorgeous! I didn't realize how old the house is! It was a neat experience!

 The next stop on our trip was one that we all enjoyed-Hershey's Chocolate World! We got to go on a ride to see how the chocolate was made. The girls loved the singing cows.

 This bar of chocolate weighed almost as much as Marie!

We had an easy time bribing the girls to get along when we were surrounded by lots of chocolate. We each got to pick out a candy bar because of our good behavior!

Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

 Theodore was in the toy room when he started getting a little cranky, so I knew he must be hungry. That is about the only time he fusses. I made him up a bottle, he pounded it, then passed out. He is our growing boy! Look at that belly (the doctor said he was too skinny?!?) The girls were playing right next to him, screaming and having all sorts of fun. He must have been really tired!

 A couple of weeks ago we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa's again so Teddy could get his motorcycle/drivers license moved from CO to VA. It finally came in the mail today, so it is a good thing we made the trip when we did. Teddy should be leaving on his motorcycle adventure in about a week.

The girls had a great time playing on the farm. They got to ride the tractor with Grandpa, wear flower headbands made by Grandma, and help Pa cut down a couple trees. I love being in the country. Teddy and I got to go on walks all by ourselves too! I love walking on the country roads. It might be weird, but I just love the sound of crunchy gravel. We enjoy the country so much, that we purchased 12 acres out there! Now we have our very own crunchy gravel and a little stream!

Psych Party!

 The best TV show in the entire world (really the only thing worth watching on TV) is Psych! We are big fans, so when the season finale was coming to Hulu, we gave it the attention it deserves! We hung streamers and decorated our computer/crafty room for the event. We don't have TV and we recently canceled Netflix, but Hulu offers the greatest show ever for free! It worked perfect for us. We ended up delaying our party start time until the girls went to bed, and then enjoyed the season finale! You know that's right! If you don't watch the show, you need to stop being exactly half of an 11 lb black forest ham and check it out!

Theodore loves plants! If we put him outside, he will go straight for the plants. We put some dirt in these left over planters, and he made sure to explore them for any hidden treasures he might find. He loves dirt (just like his sisters). He will roam around until he gets the above dazed look on his face, then he just collapses and sleeps for hours. This guy plays hard and will use every last ounce of energy until he falls asleep. He's great!

Pa's Home!

 Everyone gets so excited when Pa comes home for the day! His schedule isn't as regular here as it was at Edwards, so we can't wait for him at the corner or we might be waiting for an hour.

 So we play around in the front yard and the girls scream, "PA'S HOME!" when they see the car driving up the road.

 The crazy girls like to wait at the base of the driveway to ride the remaining 20 feet into the garage. Although I don't hop in for the car ride, the best part of the day is when Pa comes home. 

Pa got some gear to stay safe on the road with his new motorcycle. Doesn't he look good?
