Ma's Excavating Time

Poor Claire fell out of bed and landed on the dresser corner. I am just glad that it didn't actually hit her eye! She had a pretty colorful eye for a few days.
Teddy sure looked like he was having a fun time using the excavator, so I had him teach me how to use it. It is pretty fun actually.

Our Christmas break is over and it is time to go to the new house in D.C.! We have another place to make into a home. We sure have been blessed!

Teddy and the Excavator

This hawk is a frequent visitor.

Teddy did lots of great work with this excavator during the Christmas break. He put in the water lines on our property, took out some stumps, dug in the stream, and helped put in an electrical wire.

Family Picture Time

It is pretty unusual that the whole family is together, so we made sure to get a picture.
Scotty and Abby wanted some pictures of their little family as well. I'm not even sure who took these pictures, but here you go Abby!

Vacuum Fun

Theodore had a great time sucking up all sorts of stuff!
Claire likes to vacuum as well.
Theodore got some good Grandpa time while we were there.
Christine and Nora are going to be great buddies!
Grandpa made a friend with this hawk. The hawk didn't think Grandpa was feeding him enough, so he was trying to get in to the chickens.

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

We piled up the baby cousins. They are getting ready to play the ha ha game.
We no longer own a trampoline after moving out of our old house. The girls took advantage of using the trampoline at Grandma and Grandpa's.
Here are some cute girlies!

Happy Birthday Pa!

Happy Birthday Pa! The Freeman family stopped over on Christmas, so they got to enjoy some of Teddy's blackberry cobbler 'pie'. I got Teddy a wood lathe for his present, but then he decided not to take his tools to Japan... so it is going to rest at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a couple years. Probably not the best present, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Red Ryder BB Gun

Grandma and Grandpa still had Teddy's Red Ryder bb gun that he used to play with. It was a big hit with the boys. Theodore cried and cried when he had to put it down to come inside and eat.
Sterling, Nora, and Christine hung out a lot during their Christmas break. We also made lots of shakes. Claire liked the chocolate spinach one the best.

Ma's Christmas

Teddy got me an amazing macro lens for Christmas! I had fun taking pictures of all sorts of  things.
Christine has really hair ears still. I made sure to document it before it all falls off.
I took a picture of Teddy's eye. Afterwards, we found that you could see Thaddeus playing with his presents in the reflection!
That inspired me to take this picture of a tree bulb. I just thought this sign made a cute picture.
I really liked how this picture of a fly turned out. If you click on the picture and zoom in, you can see some good detail!
Marie was the only kid that would sit still enough for me to take a picture of their eye.
I sure love my present! Teddy did great!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas! These kids got hooked up with some great stocking stuffers... during the move, I forgot to leave out the stockings. The kids didn't seem to mind, but I was a little bummed.
The kids are all waiting at the top of the stairs to come down for their Christmas surprises!
Christine must have followed in the footsteps of her siblings because she got coal for her first Christmas stocking as well! She sleeps through the night like a champ though, so maybe she should have gotten something different...
It was hard to take pictures with the kids running around opening presents like crazy. Here are some of the pictures of our Christmas day. Everyone got spoiled rotten!
We got some of these guns for the boys and they are huge fans!
We took the girls separately into a dollar store and let them pick something out for each other. They had a hard time agreeing that the toys they were picking out were for the other person, but then they got each other the same thing anyways! These girls are two peas in a pod.
Christine got to wear Marie's crown for a little while.
