More fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

 The girls would lay down in the hammock and pull it over themselves.  Then they swung each other around and around so fast that it reminded me of the cartoons when we were little. I was expecting one of them to fly out eventually, but they didn't get hurt!

 Marie was so excited to help Grandpa with the bees. He got a child sized bee suit for them to wear.  We had a fun time watching until the bees thought we were too close. Claire and Pa got stung as we ran away. Marie got stung on her shoulder as well! Claire didn't want to try on the suit after getting stung, but we still had fun looking at all the bees!

 Theodore was watching from a safe distance with Grandma.

 Pa and I also got to go on a 8 mile hike! We had a great time walking part of the Appalachian trail.

 We hiked rhododendron gap while the flowers were in bloom!

It was pretty hot while we were there, so the kids got to play in a 'hot tub'.

Projects at Grandma and Grandpa's

 We went for some walks because I never pass up an opportunity to walk on crunchy gravel. Marie even appreciated the sound of crunchy gravel this time. I don't think that is an inherited gene, but I must be rubbing off on her.

 Theodore climbed on the mower every chance he got.

 We were able to finally shoot our new AR 15!

 We also spiffed up Grandma's refrigerator. I really like the new color!

 We also were able to paint her table and chairs. I love painting projects!

Some fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

 Theodore spent quite a bit of time 'riding' the mower. It was pretty hot while we were there, so he sported the diaper quite a bit. Plus, he was always filthy every couple minutes so we could just hose him down.

 Thaddeus got some good loving from Grandma.

 Being able to ride the tractor with Grandpa was a big hit with the girlies.

Uncle Scott gave Thad a leg workout. He could push himself forward!

Vacation!

Puerto Rico, here we come! Um... we didn't quite make it. We decided that it would be more fun to do little day jaunts out from Virginia instead. At least we got to cancel our airplane tickets and get vouchers that are good for another year!

We made a trip up to DC to visit the museums again.

 One of my favorite things we did was visit the natural bridge in Virginia.

  Even George Washington was a little bit of a graffiti artist. He carved his initials into the rock wall under the bridge, about 30' up from the river.

 We also did a hike, to this little waterfall. The route there was very pretty and relaxing with only having Thad in tow.

The other chillins got to hang out at Grandma and Grandpa's. They had a great time as well!

Thad is growing and Claire is loving butterflies

 Our little Thad is getting big very quickly! We brought him in for his two month appointment and he weighed 14 lbs, 15 oz! He is at about the 90% for weight and length. We're glad that he is healthy!

 Claire was carrying around this butterfly for about 15 minutes. I told her that she should probably let him go or he might die. Sorry for the broken wing butterfly, Claire just wanted to give you some loving. She said that he was fine because he was still hanging out on her arm, but I think she might have loved that butterfly to death.

Claire had a hard day of playing. She was so tired that when she got a time out, she fell asleep on her chair.
