More Crazy Antics

 Marie loves to have a front row seat during movie time! You would think our TV either wasn't big enough or she was hard of hearing, but I don't think either of those to be true... I wonder what prompts her to sit so closely.

 Marie likes to look out for Claire. That's what big sisters are for! But sometimes she gets a little carried away which often times leads to neither of them getting any sleep. 

 Marie has a full time job watching over Claire. One night when they were both supposed to be sleeping, but were probably just playing together... we heard Claire start wailing so we ran in to see what was going on. We aren't quite sure what happened, but somehow Claire ended up with a fat lip.

 Claire likes to ponder what she is going to draw before she draws it. One of these days she is going to draw us a fantastic piece of art and stop eating the chalk.

 Marie likes to draw her artwork on her hands. She is getting better at actually drawing something instead of just scribbling... or maybe she just claims that some of her scribbles are dogs and things!

 Marie got a toy camera from our neighbors that actually takes pictures. She just loves it. We caught her taking pictures of Claire and it was so cute! She would tell Claire to say cheese!

What happens when snow melts?

 Claire doesn't want to waste any of the snow... so when it turns to water, what better to do than drink it?

 You would think we don't give our girls anything to drink, but they actually prefer to drink the water by slurping it off the ground than from a cup... weird! Maybe they like the taste of mud flavored water.

 These girls had such a great time playing in puddles!!

Claire could not be kept from the water. We went through four outfits that day!

Going Private!

We are going to be making our blog private in about two weeks so not just anyone can get the great information about our fun little family. Announcing Princess Marie

Marie got some dress up clothes from our neighbor and she just loves them, but I don't know a girl who wouldn't take more shoes!
She doesn't always get the shoes on the right feet, but they still make the same clicking sound on the tile floor anyways.

Our Snow White has the right complexion, but we'd have to die her hair...

Of course Claire doesn't want to be left out of this shoe party! Marie even had enough shoes to spare that she didn't get upset when Claire decided to take a few. I have two cute princesses!

Cal City Craziness

We had some more visitors! Takuya and Keiko came to hang out with us! We were able to practice lots of Japanese and they had a great time. We took them to some stores, went grocery shopping, saw the Hollywood stars and played lots of boardgames!

On the day that Teddy had to drive them down to the airport, we got a ridiculous snow storm! We haven't had snow like this the whole time that we've been here... and I hear that there hasn't been this much snow in Cal City in 15 years!
Marie won't be able to ride her trike today.

Our cactus are probably in shock! Too bad we didn't get this great snow during Christmas. Better late than never!

Another Sewing Project Completed!

Our girls are addicted to binkies... but when they sleep they have a tendency to lose their precious binkie which requires us to get out of bed and go fetch it in the middle of the night. Some friends had given us their old crib bumper, but the pattern on it didn't match the room and it wasn't the look that I wanted... so I got some fabric from Joann's and recovered it! It turned out great! I finished the whole thing in one day... it did take the whole day though!

Christmas Time!!

Marie was super excited to open presents. She opened all of hers and then checked to see if Claire needed any help opening presents.
Claire loved this tea set because she knew how to get it to make noise!

These girls are loved tons and spoiled rotten.

My present to Teddy was this pinball game! I made everything on it myself and it works great! There are spinners, a funnel, and you actually shoot the ball up and everything. I was excited that it turned out so well and he loved it!

Teeth and Hair

Claire finally has teeth! She got her first tooth December 5th!

She got her tooth as soon as I sent out our Christmas cards saying that she didn't have any teeth yet! Now she has two chompers.

When I do Marie's hair I always ask her if she wants one or two ponies. Lately she has been saying, "I want THREE ponies!" I came up with this compromise so she wouldn't look too crazy and she loves it!

Spencer's Visit

Claire loves climbing! She can almost get up the stairs on the playground set on her own!

These girls must be related to Teddy because they think it is great to throw anything they can find into the fire. You have to watch Marie though, she sometimes gets close to throwing herself in.

This picture is the best description of what Spencer did during his visit. Spencer spent most of his time either reading or sleeping.

Spencer did come with me to the gym a couple times for step class. Marie finds step highly entertaining, but I think it is more entertaining to just watch her do it.
