Bubble Lover

Thad was highly entertained by the bubble blower!

Happy 4th of July!

 We went on base to see the fireworks. The kids thought they were pretty neat! They got to chase more fireflies until the fireworks started.

The smoke balls were a hit, but the pop-its were their favorite... except when Pa threw the pop-its at them.

 The streamers were a little harder for them to do on their own, but they loved them!

 Thad tried to eat the streamers, but he decided they weren't very tasty.

 The sparklers were a little scary at first, but after they learned they wouldn't burn their hands off, they thought they were great.

 Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit us for the 4th of July, so the girls got to sleep out with Grandpa in the tent. They thought it was awesome! Grandpa did until he woke up and found out someone had peed.

The didn't camp very far away from the back door, but they thought it was far enough.

Swimmers!

We have been making some trips to the pool with the Walkers. These kids love it! We got some swimming backpacks like they used at their swimming lessons so they could practice. I like how you can adjust the number of foam boards to eventually let them swim on their own.

Thad was the noodle boy. He loved to carry them around.

The girls did a lap across the pool without any backpacks or noodles! Pa was right there for motivation and safety, but they made it! I don't think they were too excited to do it again though without their packs.

Happy Half B-Day Pa!

 Thaddeus loves to sit at the big kid table. He does a great job over there.

 Happy half birthday Pa! He turns 32 on Christmas. He isn't a chocolate/cake person so for a birthday cake, we made this hodge podge collection of his favorite treats!

 Thad found the hidden Teddy Grahams. He poured them all over the floor and ate about half of them. He was pretty excited about it. I guess he wanted to leave a surprise for Pa's half birthday as well.

Theodore's Back Bounce

 Theodore learned how to do a back bounce. They have gotten a lot of use out of the trampoline.

 I was trying to teach Claire how to skip. For some reason, she always resorts to galloping or running. She will get it eventually.

Thad loves to talk to Theodore as he falls asleep. He is hanging over Theodore's bed. These boys are buds.

Lightning bug catching!

 Teddy was put in charge of making sure all the captured lightning bugs didn't get away.

They caught lots of fireflies. Everyone enjoyed it, except Thad who was sleeping!
