Halloween Loot

After trick or treating through Fairborn for only an hour, the girls had more than enough candy. They had both of their pumpkins completely filled and then more!
Theodore was a little frustrated with getting the candy out of the wrappers. The girls would frequently take a bite of something and then give him the rest. He was very happy with getting already opened candy, even if it had a bite out of it. These kids sure like candy. They would beg for more candy all day, every day... we got tired of it and then eventually gave them the whole bucket to finish it all off. Whatever they didn't eat we were going to throw away... so they ate the ENTIRE bucket. I am surprised that no one puked. At least they didn't have any more candy to ask for!

Cars

Theodore LOVES toy cars. They are his favorite toys to play with.
The girls enjoy playing with the cars that can shoot out or drive by themselves. Theodore will dive for the cars if they shoot past him. They have fun!

Chasing Lions

Theodore likes to play chase! He is often chasing/chased by the 'lions'. The girls have enjoyed having another friend to play with them!

Our Property in VA

I have been doing some dreaming about our property lately. Whenever we get out of the military and can live in one place for longer than a couple years, I would love to build my dream home. Here are some pictures of our 12 acres we bought in VA.
On the bank in front of the stream, we would plant lots of different trees. Then our house would be more hidden from the road. The road doesn't get a lot of traffic because it is a gravel road, but I like my privacy. I also like gravel roads!! Yay for crunchy gravel!!
I am thinking the best spot for a house would be very similar to the location of the house that was torn down. It might have to go back a couple feet for the layout of my dream  house. There would be a circle driveway that would rap all the way around the house.
This is looking out from the top of the hill behind the barn/house/front yard. There are several different fenced off pastures for animals. I am thinking that I would maybe want to raise a few pigs (I love bacon!) and definitely chickens. We love the idea of being as independent as possible. Plus, I dislike hauling all the kids to the grocery store. Of course, I would have a large garden and we would still have room to spare! Maybe we can find a way to become energy independent...
Here is a view of a couple of the pastures. From the top of the hill, it is pretty flat all the way out to the back of our property.

New Wheels

Well... we couldn't fit any more car seats into the Taurus. Marie continues to want to ride in the trunk of the car, but we figured with another little boy on the way, due May 10, that we had better increase our carrying capacity.

Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's!

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa over a long weekend to celebrate our two October birthdays. Theodore got lots of loving.
Marie got her hair done by Scottie. The girls had a great time chasing chickens and playing outside.
Teddy had a great time cutting down a VERY large tree. I had a great time shooting my new gun. We all had fun, but decided that we would need to get a minivan before we could make the long drive again.

Winter is here!

Winter is here, along with the time for fires in the fireplace! Having a wood burning fireplace is a must for our family. The girls love to play outside and then run in to warm up by the fire. Claire was concerned that her baby was a little cold, too.

Theodore the mess maker!

Theodore has been keeping me in the plastic container washing business. He likes to dig through all of them, drool on all of them, and of course scatter them all over the floor.
